Torn Within originally recorded "Hero No More" in 2004 in Hysperia, CA. The song was included on their 2004 self titled EP and shortly thereafter, they would disband. Guitarist Rick Ash and bassist Mike Bodkins would join up with Suicide Silence (Mitch Lucker, Chris Garza, and Josh Goddard), drummer Jon Shelley would go to play in The Final Burden, and vocalist Justin Smith enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. Eighteen years later Justin and Rick reactive Torn Within, bringing new life to this deathcore original.
